Welcome Hello and Welcome to the Boxford and Bures St Mary One Place Study Website. I am in the beginning stages of commencing a One Place Study on the parish of Boxford, Suffolk. Information I look to be compiling will be: 1: Parish Registers- concentrating on the period between 1700 and 1837 2: Census Records of 1841, 1851 and 1861 3: Database of Surnames & Families 4: Wills 5: Directories While I have made every effort to ensure accuracy, this cannot be guaranteed. Please ensure that you check the original documents Surnames in the Database Please note that the names in the Surname database come from a number of sources, including the Suffolk Marriage Index, Family Search and the National Burial Index. I am in the process of compiling the data and matching relevant families together. The database includes people married, died and buried or were born in either Boxford or Bures St Mary. There may be some people listed that have no birth dates. There may be people listed who were born and lived in other areas (such as Assington) but were actually married in Boxford or Bures St Mary. Please note that my main surname interest in Boxford & Bures St Mary, are Baldwin, Baker, King, Reason (Raisin), Rice & Holder.
